The heart of our mission is to find the amazing souls that breathe life into our communities. In the recent weeks, we’ve had the privilege to connect with some incredible artists, creatives, entrepreneurs and rabble rousers and we can’t begin to express how impressed we are with the incredible group below.

Coming to my studio is more than just taking photos—it’s an experience. Clients get to see the love, patience, and knowledge that goes into every session. They learn about my process, the care I take in posing newborns safely, or how much detail goes into creating the perfect setup. It’s a chance for them to connect not just with the camera, but with the story behind the business and the heart behind every image Read more>>

Flores Street Yoga opened in January of 2025. After practicing and teaching yoga for years we were tired of not having a yoga studio and community in our own neighborhood. FSY was born out of our personal need and desire for our community. Our studio’s vision is centered around community, accessibility, and education. Read more>>

I wanted to put myself out there in my community and connect with other like-minded women. Turns out, I wasn’t the only one thinking that same thing, because very quickly after that our club started to grow! Women from all over San Antonio, new to the city or having been here a while, were coming to our events excited to mix and mingle! I wanted the club to be more than just events and fitness classes, I wanted women to feel like this is THEIR club and community where they can connect with others and be a part of something really unique and genuine. It’s been so much fun making so many new friends and working with local businesses and vendors in San Antonio. I really want to keep growing and bring that sense of community back to those who crave it the most. Read more>>

At Wells Fargo, I had the chance to train new employees in South Dakota on our underwriting process. Unfortunately, our team was eventually laid off. I pivoted into a role in the loss mitigation department, and later transitioned into the short sales department, where we faced another round of layoffs in 2015. Read more>>

My favorite beer that I tasted and posted about was 4Shadow stout by Freetail Brewing in Southtown. It was a mesquite smoked stout with an amazing flavor. It was a limited edition run that was offered during the November 2020 La Muerta release party. One of the worst beers that I have had was Space Pizza by Martin House Brewing in May of 2021. I would describe the taste as an onion and tomato juice beer. By the way my wife hates onions. Read more>>

What I may be most known for are my hole-punch portraits. I did my first one in college when I took an Art for Elementary Teachers class and had to create something with paper. I am an obsessive sports fan so my subject was Wayne Gretzky, who had recently been traded to Los Angeles in the first devastating sports trade I had experienced. I don’t know what made me start punching holes in construction paper but I collected the little punches and made a Gretzky portrait from them. At first I thought it was strange, but cool. But my professor and classmates just went wild over this piece! And a style was born! Read more>>

My first event had about 35 cars, with a Ford Mustang as the standout. The next few shows started picking up traction, with the biggest bringing in around 100 cars. But everything changed when I decided to take the shows beyond my workplace and start collaborating with other local businesses. That shift allowed me to connect with the community in a whole new way—through cars, culture, and shared passion. Read more>>

I have been doing social media management and content creation for a little over 5 years now! I enjoy the creative aspect of the graphic design and the freshness of each client as everyone has their own unique style, even if two clients are the same niche. I started with an internship, and through connections and postings online I’ve obtained the clients I have now. Read more>>

I also worked at the Cannes film festival last year, as well as the Golden Globes Met Gala, the Emmys and the sag awards. I also recently assisted the amazing Adir Abirgel with Nicole Kidman on the cover of the cover of Vanity Fair. Somehow, in the midst of all of this, I’ve been able to command quite an impressive clientele here in San Antonio and also train my employees on how to do hair at the highest level. It truly is my passion taking girls who wanna learn and showing them everything that I have learned over these 25 years I know we are making San Antonio a more beautiful and happy place. Read more>>

To my surprise, my work had caught the attention of family and friends, and I received my very first inquiry. This allowed me to expand my creativity even more. I posted more of my work and started to receive multiple request for different projects. New tasks and challenges give me a sense of joy and accomplishment so saying no is not an option for me. As time went on, I was able to offer a wide variety of product, and to this day continue to add more and more. This journey has given me the opportunity to now have my Etsy Shop and continue to grow my business locally and out of state. Read more>>

Honestly, one of the biggest challenges in this journey has been balancing motherhood with entrepreneurship. As a mom of four, managing a household while also running a business on my own comes with a heavy mental load. I’m constantly navigating the demands of parenting — school schedules, meals, emotional support — while also handling every layer of my business: fulfilling orders, responding to inquiries, marketing, prepping for events, and staying creative in the kitchen. Read more>>

As I continued my practice, I realized that what had helped me so much in my own healing could be shared with others. I began studying somatic and therapeutic yoga, embracing a trauma-informed approach, and exploring sound healing as a way to deepen the experience. My work evolved naturally from there, and I knew that offering mobile services was the best way to meet people where they are, allowing them to access healing on their own terms and in a space that feels safe and familiar. Read more>>

Sports have a way of bringing people together, and I’ve always believed that everyone connects with some kind of sport. Beyond that, I’ve always been into entertainment and naturally love being around people. I’m a people person at heart, and I knew that starting this bar would be more than just a business—it would be a way for me to create a space where folks could come together for good food, great conversation, and a shared love for the game. Read more>>

Starting a business from scratch has come with its own set of hurdles. In the early days of my Christmas décor rental business, I had to build trust with customers and establish a reputation in a niche market. Educating potential clients on the benefits of renting high-quality, professionally curated holiday decorations took time. Transitioning from a rental business to a full-fledged storefront brought new challenges—finding the right location, securing inventory, managing seasonal demand, and ensuring that people even knew the shop existed. Spreading the word and building a loyal customer base has been an ongoing effort, requiring creativity and persistence. Read more>>

At this point I only took photos of friends for fun so I took that opportunity and turned it into something I wanted everyone to enjoy. Because I enjoyed being a creative and helping people take pleasure and appreciate their milestones or helping be able to show off on their social media, I vowed to make my photography accessible to everyone. Everyone should be able to show off their happiest and proudest moments no matter what their budget is. I also began to take pride in my individuality of my creativity by fusing a business with my personal vision ideation of photography. Read more>>
