Meet Christine Bell of Round Rock

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Bell.

Hi Christine, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Christine and I have been an Esthetician for 14 years. I graduated from Aveda in 2011. I was very fortunate to get a position right away at a Dermatology office in San Antonio along with 2 other students from the same class. It was at that job I learned advanced skills and devices to treat various skin conditions. I then moved on to working with Plastic Surgeons and eventually becoming a Medspa Manager in 2024. I am very passionate about skincare and was on the Skin Medica Expert panel in 2017. I have learned so much from so many skilled providers and doctors that I am embarking on a training program for other Aestheticians. I moved to Austin Texas 4 years ago and worked with a wonderful team at Austin Plastic Surgeon. We were was awarded the Community Choice award in 2022 and 2023 for best Facial and best Medspa. I have over 25 certifications in medical skincare lines such as Skin Better Science, Revision Skincare and Pavise and devices such as the Sciton BBL and Morpheus8 microneedling with RF. My favorite treatment are chemical peels because I have seen the transformation in acne and sun damage skin. I’m also a huge believer in combination treatments such as laser and injections and muscle toning. I am single mother of 2 children 18 and 12 and a dog mom to 2 shepards. I am excited for new technologies and am in love with the everchanging world of Aesthetics!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Over the years I have been very fortunate to have some great positions in flourishing practices. Some had been established and had a steady flow of patients sent from a dermatologists or plastic surgeons. Some were just starting out and needed my expertise on how to get that flow of patients into the office. I have found that start up businesses can be challenging with a lot of aches and pains. It can take over a year to build and train a good team, build relationships with clients and create protocols that work, I have enjoyed doing both. Presently I am interviewing for a management position in a medspa that is owned and operated by a female OBGYN, I am so excited to potentially joined a team of woman taking care of woman and am praying on this new journey. The struggle for me personally is finding a good balance in treating patients and doing the administrative, social media and management that come along with it. Now, considering my age and experience, I would like to offer training to new Aestheticians and Spa Owners and manage a team of providers in a exciting new medspa.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
After graduating from Aveda I was fortunate enough to get into the medical aesthetics field. During this time non invasive body contouring was making its way into the industry with Coolsculpting. Myself along with other RNs and Drs, trained and practiced on each other and were able to place as the #1 account in the US, with our sales. We had figured out how to brand the practice, perfected the consultation and follow through, AND produce results. I was able to take this skill and apply it to other body contouring devices such as Morpheus8 and The EON laser. I am also very creative in social media. I love to share this with new practices. Social media is such an important tool and I use all the apps to create educational, comedy and visually appealing reels for the public. At any position I hold, I highlight the skincare lines, providers, devices, technology and the practice as a whole. I also share personal stories and relatable skincare journey’s. I am going through hormonal acne and unusual hair growth, or “peri-menopause” myself, so I think its a topic not talked about enough. I enjoy doing this and it is never a chore! With all the AI tools now and chat GPT it should be something anyone in this industry keeps up with!

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love the culture here in San Antonio, the food, the Rodeo, Fiesta, the history. This city will forever hold a spot in my heart as my family is from here and we frequent all the events! What I dislike is the traffic and construction. I can only think its because San Antonio is the secret city everyone’s just now finding out about!
