Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Washington.
Hi Sarah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I created my Instagram blog, Sarah Around SA, back in 2018! I started it as a way to highlight the explorations I had within my community. Since then, it’s grown as a way to uplift small businesses, events, and more.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Overall, it’s been a road with few challenges. The nature of my blog is fun and lighthearted, so there’s not a lot of pressure. However, I did rebrand about a year ago! My old blog name was “Rassasy”, which is a word meaning “to give someone a good meal.”
I came up with that blog name years ago, I saw it on a website somewhere and it inspired me. However, I’ve since changed it, I felt Sarah Around SA was more on-brand for me at this point in time!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
In regards to my blog, I’m the proudest of the sense of community I feel through this platform. I’ve made some great friends through my experience, and I wouldn’t trade those for anything!
I have a passion for food, photography and social media, so it’s the perfect hobby for me. It helps me feel so connected to the city of San Antonio!
How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
I’m always open to collaborations! People can contact me via the links in my bio – I have my email and phone number there. My DMs are also always open!
