Today we’d like to introduce you to Rene Sanchez.
Hi Rene, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was hired on as a walk-in shop hand with no experience at a local billboard company in the late 90’s. After wroking my way up through that business and teaching myself, salse design, and installation I realized a greater potential for my self as an enmtrpenuer. And so did my managment – Long sotry here – but the business was sold due to the sudden death of the owner. I found myself unemployed right before the holidyays a nd struck out on my own working out of the garage of a small rental home in NB. As a new husband and father I could not provide what was needed, so I accepted a full time offer in a new industry, learning as much as I could – think this was my new career path. But on a frustrated lunch break one day I saw an ad in the classified – yes “classified: news paper ad. A San ANtonio based company was hiring installes for signs, graphics and vehicle wraps. Vehicle wraps were new to me, but I was eager to learn and get back into the sign business.
This new job required a lot of travel and I was not home often enough for a healthy relationship with my wife and new son. After about 2 years a local shop back in my home town opened up for sales at a sign shop. I took thier offer, moved back home and a year later found my self in a similar situation, as the owner passed (AGAIN)……..horrible coinsidence. So I decided that I would finally go full in and open up Digital D-Signs – but this time I used the help of the SBA and a 50% business partner. In 2006 my wife and I bought a house, welcomed our second child and opened up a business with Ryan Gilles and his family. We had very similar life principals and financial goals. So,Digital D-Signs was born sometime around June of 2006. Never looking back…..as we grew. Nad 20 years later Ryan’s 2 sons and my son all work for us. It’s been a journey for sure.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We specialize in fleet vehicles, and printing & shipping vinyl.
I am most proud of the fact that we are a boot strap company, self taught, and succseful.
Our attention to detail, and quality set us aside from others.
