Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Stapleton.
Hi Melissa, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I worked for the previous owners for about 3 years and found I quickly I loved working there and the concept of the store. I was blessed to buy the store in January 2016 and I expanded the product and gift line. In March of 2022 I moved into a bigger space and really expanded my line of products. Most of my products are made in Texas and many are made locally in the Texas Hill Country.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
COVID was a challenge for me but I started doing Facebook lives and offered curbside service. I had the most amazing customers that supported me during that time.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Before I owned my business, I worked for my parents photography business in Corpus Christi.. I was involved in sales and customer service. Making customers feel welcome is very important to me in my business. I make sure they are greeted when they walk in the door and I am there to assist them in anyway I can. I specialize in making custom gift baskets for all occasions. I want to make gift giving as easy as possible for my customers, so I can usually put together their gift basket while they wait.. I believe that what sets me apart from others in Boerne is that I offer so many products made in Texas. I have many customers looking for products made in Texas to take to friends or relatives in other states. I want customers to walk in my store and feel confident they can find the perfect gift. I am most proud of being able to stay in business for almost 10 years now. This is thanks to my wonderful customers, my fabulous employees and my amazing family.
What are your plans for the future?
My plans for the future is to continue to offer the best products for my customers. I am constantly looking for new products to make my store better.
