Rising Stars: Meet Lisa Holloway

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Holloway.

Hi Lisa, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my business with of goal of bringing awareness to workplace stress due to things I encountered in the workplace. It was a very stressful job. We had production and quality goals. The environment felt toxic. I thought what can I do about this. I create a proposal to address the stress in our work environment. I included having a destress room and a list of other things to help. I sent it to my manager and we never heard back from upper management about my proposal. Something in me wouldn’t let it go. I been to think what can I do. So I looked into training to be a Certified Stress Coach. I later received training for Certified Life Coach and Career Coach. I received training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, NLP, Meditation Practitioner, Women’s Empowerment.

Thus Mindful Peace was born September 2019. In May of 2020, renamed the company Mindful Peace SCI (Self Care Institute) LLC.

My mission is to help my clients discover the power within themselves, to transform stress into motivation to transform their lives and reach their goals.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an entrepreneur, you will always have challenges. Some of the challenges I faced was getting people to see how important managing their stress is. We have been conditioned to think stress is ok or to ignore it. Too much stress can wreak havoc in your life. Stress will not dissipate, but we can manage it. 2020 I lost over half of my clients due to them dealing with COVID. So I had to find a way to create another avenue of how to get my message out there. Create workbooks and creating stress relief products to remind people to take care of themselves. and how to deal with life challenges.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in teaching ambitious professionals, leaders and parents how to tap into their inner power and transform daily stress into life-changing actions that produce the fulfillment, peace and success they crave. I work one on one with clients to analyze their stress, triggers, provide coaching, and offer root cause analysis. Discovering the root cause of their issue(s) and creating a tailor-made program to address their goals and ambitions.

I am a Certified Life Coach, Stress Coach, and Career Coach. I received training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, NLP, Meditation Practitioner, Women’s Empowerment leader.

What I’m most proud of is seeing the transformation in my clients. Knowing where they started and then they go through the program and you can the results of them putting in the work to adjust their lives and the happiness and joy in their eye that they have achieved their goal. I’m so proud of them.

What sets me apart is that I tailor make my programs for my clients. No two programs are alike, we are all different and struggle with many things. I’m with you on your journey to manifest the goals you want to achieve. We go over setbacks and how to adjust to changes. I check on you and follow up with you after the program to see if you are still progressing or if you’ve encountered any issues. I care about my client’s success. Stress is underestimated. I’m bringing awareness so that people can see what their lives can be if you learn to manage your stress.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
We have to remember to take care of ourselves. Make time for some me time. When things get tough, your inner strength is going to help you overcome any obstacle you face. I want you to realize that you have everything inside you that you require to overcome your stress and the accompanying anxiety. The issue is, often we don’t realize that we’re in control, as we feel so out of control at times. The tools are there, you simply have to activate them and use them.
