Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Coral
Hi Laura, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Laura Coral, Colombian, mom of two boys, also known as Active Mom of SATX. I moved to San Antonio in 2018 when I was expecting my second child. Once my son was born, I found myself needing to find a community, so I created it. In 2019, I founded Walking Moms of San Antonio and Mommy and Me of San Antonio. Both groups helped me tremendously and have helped many moms in our city as well. During these years, I have loved and enjoyed meeting so many families, exploring our city and all the beautiful place it has to offer. I launched my Instagram account, Active Mom of SATX in 2022, which now has an active, engaged following of over 17k local families. Through my platform, I encourage families to explore our beloved San Antonio, share local small businesses, giveaways, events, hidden gems, and more.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been easy. Along the way I have faced different challenges such adaptaing to a new city, having a new baby un a city where I didn’t have any support/family and having to start from scratch, finding my own community and building it.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a local content creator/influencer, a San Antonio insider. I am passionate about the best of San Antonio through genuine, high quality, and engaging content.
I am best known as the founder and head administrator of my two well known and reliable Facebook groups. I am known as a leader and as a dedicated mom who is always on the move.
In the past few months after being consistent, my social media has grown which has allowed me to reach more local families and businesses. I partner with local businesses and offer my services as a creator, that’s how I make my living.
In addition to content creation, I am also a Zumbini Instructor. Zumbini is an early childhood education program for kids ages 0 to 4 that uses music and movement.
