Rising Stars: Meet Gabriel Garcia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriel Garcia.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started as a photographer about 10 years ago. Today I have a creative agency called Summit Creative Group; we help build brands through content creation and other avenues. I curate a creative group named SA Creatives, we create content and community through art. We are predominantly made up of photographers, models, and videographers. We are currently building out other creative aspects to express yourself at SA Creatives. A typical meet-up will include many unique photographers with different styles, they pair up with different models to create some very inspiring art! We meet at unique places all over the San Antonio area. The next steps for SA Creatives is to expand on what we offer to our members through innovating and change the look of what today’s typical creative looks like. SA Creatives is “More than a Meet Up,” and we take pride in who are and what will become in the future.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We are very fortunate that our members and our team are so helpful in the community. We have the most creative people in San Antonio help us with the vision of SA Creatives. Some struggles we face are keeping everything fresh and new. The pandemic has made it hard sometimes to meet in large groups, but we have made it this far.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I have a Creative Agency that builds brands through content creation. We work with different businesses, organizations, and individuals who are needing to take their vision to the next level. I am most proud of the creative group that I direct called SA Creatives. We are different because through SA Creatives, we are able to have an endless amount of creatives for any task at hand.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice for anyone just starting out in the creative space is don’t compare yourself or your work to anyone else. You can give your work to 10 different clients and they will each give you 10 different answers on what they believe it’s worth. Something I wish I knew when I was starting out was networking is worth more than any camera or lens I could buy.
