Today we’d like to introduce you to Devin Bassett.
Hi Devin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started out online as a lonely stay at home mom. I was going through postpartum depression and it seemed like nobody around me could understand. I decided to share my experiences online on Instagram and soon built a strong motherhood brand. I keep it very authentic and real about motherhood. 4 years later I have a strong enough brand to stay home with my kids full time homeschooling them – travel with hotels/resorts part time and support my entrepreneur husband.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely some bumpy roads along the way! I struggled knowing how to pitch my worth when it came to brands and was often left disappointed. After finding out a way to add value to my audience and to brands it’s been game over! I love the fact that I can still homeschool my kids but work with brands in my free time.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I would consider myself a travel content creator in the motherhood/family niche. I specialize in showcasing the best places to vacation with your family while also creating captivating content for resorts/hotels. I am most proud that I am able to take my two kids and husband with me to experience such a fun work life!
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My husband! He has helped me on soooo many of my ventures and truly is the guy behind the lens! He never complains when it comes to helping build my brand or help me take creative content!
