Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashlee Makuch.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have had a camera in my hand since I can remember. I truly love being able to capture a moment to then treasure forever. Growing up my answer to ” what do you want to be when you are older” was always a photographer and I am so proud that I have achieved that dream. I was always that friend or family member that would take photos at events like birthday parties and that transpired into people asking if I would take their family photos and even engagement photos! It was then that I created an Instagram and Facebook page just to see where things went & they really took off! I’ve come a long way since I professionally started and have put tons of time and effort into my business to make sure my clients have the best experience and tangible memories.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing good ever comes easy, there are always trials and tribulations. Finding your specific niche and setting boundaries will always be the toughest parts but so important. You cannot say yes to everyone and everything as badly as you may want to.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a wedding and portrait photographer. my style is light and airy.
I am most proud of the growth I constantly see in my work, there is always room for improvement.
I treat all of my clients as friends, I love getting to know them to perfectly capture and tell their love story behind the lens.
What’s next?
My current plans for the future and building a new website, no crazy big changes just making the client experience the best possible.
