Meet Westcreek

Today we’d like to introduce you to Westcreek.

We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started when John answered a craigslist ad for a band Daniel was in at the time. John and Daniel started sending numerous song ideas back and forth and discovered that they complimented each-others writing styles very well and shared a vision in song composition and meaning. They continued to write songs over the next few months for what would grow to become the band Westcreek.

In January 2022 Westcreek released their debut music video for the song, “This Life”, the first single off their upcoming album release “What’s left of me”.

“What’s left of me” is set to be released April 15th, 2022.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Along the way, there were several obstacles to overcome. The first obstacle was trying to create a style/sound that would not only appeal to us but to others as well. The second obstacle we had was finding the right people to round out the band’s sound, having gone through a few members before establishing the current lineup. (Daniel Bas, John Mckinnis, Eddie Nava and Rocko Cortez)

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Our band’s core focus is to allow people an outlet, through our music, to cope with and overcome the many struggles that come with this life. With the lyrical content being the forefront of the band’s melodic, aggressive sound, Westcreek allows you to free yourself from pain, resentment and sorrow.

Westcreek debut show will be at this year’s 18th Annual Local Disturbance on June 25th at Bonds Rock Bar. Hosted by JC Productions and RT Production.
