Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Nino.
Hi Veronica, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am Veronica Niño – mother of three beautiful children, visionary, and professional photographer. I was also an accountant, but photography led me to let go of the numbers and embrace capturing photos. I am the founder of my business, and my company is dedicated to lifting the spirits of my clients by creating the scenes they envision and love. The most excellent satisfaction of my work is making my clients fall in love with the photos I take. I strive to add my client’s personal inspirations to their pictures and make the unimaginable possible.
As a mother, I have the opportunity to document my children’s life through photography. My business started with a tiny camera and a desire to document life, especially during the pandemic. This allowed me to learn more about photography techniques and tools that could create unique and breathtaking photos. My business has grown and continues to grow through social media, where I can show the world my work, including my artistic projects.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It is challenging to be a photographer, as it requires investing a lot of time, planning, and execution. It is often not financed, so I had to work a second job during the start of my business.
A significant obstacle that held back business profit and creating personal projects was the events of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many places that were accessible to photographers before the pandemic remain restricted.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work of photography requires a passion for the arts and creativity. It is a work that allows me to capture all the beautiful things about life, such as nature, newborns, children’s birthday parties, special events, weddings, and people from all walks of life. I am a self-taught photographer but did seek to complete professional certifications such as completing a digital photography program coordinated by the Dreamers Photography School and keeping my knowledge of photography techniques up to date by attending workshops.
My work is quality work and certainly outshines simple phone-photo capturing through my use of professional equipment and skills in Adobe Photoshop. I can bring out the best in images through technical photo editing. What sets me apart from others is my connection with clients. I want to capture photos of people from all walks of life.
Thus, it is a priority to work with the client to envision their photo.
What matters most to you? Why?
As a photographer, I think the most crucial thing in my work is to tell my story through my photographs. When I take photos, I constantly ask myself what story I want other people to interpret in my work. I always consider that every individual has a different perspective, so it is imperative that my artistic ideas are recognized in my photos by my clients.
What matters to me is that my clients can identify with me. I always attend to each client with the idea that it is my best opportunity to show my professionalism and commitment to the client, resulting in a content client who could spread the references of my work. These are the kind of acts that help me as a small businesswoman.
