Today we’d like to introduce you to Valery Celestino.
Hi Valery, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I first entered the beauty industry at the end of 2019 when I completed my first permanent makeup (PMU) training. In 2021, I continued my education and started taking clients more seriously while balancing a full-time job at H-E-B and raising my son. Building my business wasn’t always consistent because life often required my attention elsewhere, but I never let go of the vision.
In 2024, I fulfilled another dream by becoming a licensed esthetician. During school, I had a client who came in carrying the weight of a difficult day. I simply focused on giving her the best experience I could, and by the end of her facial, she left smiling and thanking me. That moment reminded me that my passion isn’t just beauty it’s helping people feel confident, cared for, and at peace.
In March 2025, after nearly five years at H-E-B, I took a leap of faith and went full-time with Fem Haus. It was one of the scariest decisions I’ve ever made, but also one of the most rewarding. Looking back, I can see how every challenge, lesson, and opportunity prepared me for where I am today.
My faith has been the foundation through every season. There were many moments when I questioned how everything would work out, but God continually reminded me to trust His timing. My son has also been my greatest motivation. Everything I build is with him in mind, and I hope he grows up knowing that with faith, perseverance, and hard work, it’s possible to pursue the life you’re called to live. Today, I’m simply grateful for every lesson, every client, and every person who’s been part of this journey.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of my biggest challenges was balancing a full-time job at H-E-B while building my business and raising my son. There were many moments when I questioned whether I could do it all, but I was determined to keep moving forward.
Going through my separation and divorce was another difficult season. Mentally and emotionally, it was one of the hardest times in my life. Even then, I made it a priority to show up fully for my clients. When someone sat in my chair, I wanted them to leave feeling more confident, relaxed, and cared for, regardless of what I was personally going through.
Like many small business owners, I’ve also had to learn everything behind the scenes from marketing and creating content to attracting clients and running a business. I’m still learning every day, but those challenges have strengthened my faith, built my resilience, and made me appreciate every client and every milestone even more.

Fem Haus is more than a beauty studio it’s a space where women can slow down, feel cared for, and leave feeling more confident than when they walked in. While I specialize in brows, Korean lash lifts, and permanent makeup, my mission has always been about creating an experience, not just providing a service.
What sets Fem Haus apart is the intention behind every appointment. I believe beauty is more than how you look it’s how you feel. I want every client to feel seen, heard, and comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. Whether someone comes in for a simple brow wax or a permanent makeup appointment, my goal is for them to leave feeling refreshed, confident, and cared for.
I’m most proud of the community that’s grown around Fem Haus. This business has grown alongside me, and every season has shaped both my brand and who I am as a business owner. My faith has been the foundation through it all, reminding me to trust the process even when I couldn’t see the bigger picture. Today, I’m grateful to create a space where women can not only invest in themselves but also find a moment of peace in the middle of their busy lives.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is building genuine relationships with my clients. Beauty has always been the service I provide, but people are the reason I do what I do. I never want an appointment to feel transactional I want every client to feel welcomed, heard, and cared for from the moment they walk through my door.
One of my favorite parts of this journey is watching my clients grow beyond the studio. I love celebrating life’s milestones with them, whether it’s a new job, getting married, becoming a mom, or simply seeing them become more confident in themselves. It’s such a privilege to be a small part of their story.
At the end of the day, my goal isn’t just to create beautiful brows or lashes. It’s to create a space where people feel comfortable enough to be themselves, build lasting relationships, and leave feeling better than when they arrived. To me, that’s what Fem Haus is all about.
