Hi Sarah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, and moved to San Antonio in high school, where I first started noticing how much I connected with marketing—whether it was through a catchy ad or an in-store display, something about it just clicked for me. I went on to study marketing at UTSA and had some incredible internship experiences, including one of my favorites: working with the San Antonio Spurs as part of their game day on-court promotions team. After college, I worked in marketing roles for several companies, but deep down, I always felt God was calling me to something more. I actually fell in love with social media back in 2005 when it first launched and even started pitching it as a business tool to the companies I worked for—though most were hesitant back then. By 2010, businesses started to see its value, and it became a space I was eager to explore further. In 2013, after helping friends and family manage their social media, I realized this could be more than just a side passion—so I launched Full of Grace Marketing. The name comes from my personal faith journey; I became a Christian at 26 and felt called to dedicate the business and its name to God. Over the years, we’ve helped businesses and nonprofits of all sizes, and today, I continue to lead the company remotely from Puerto Rico, where I live full-time. Our team of six is based in San Antonio, and we proudly serve clients all across the U.S.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey hasn’t always been easy, but I truly believe everything happens for a reason and that God is in control. Navigating the pandemic and expanding my team were some of the most challenging seasons, but they also brought unexpected growth. That period pushed us to transition into a remote and hybrid model, which ultimately gave me the opportunity to focus more on leading the business, nurturing client relationships, and driving sales, while trusting capable team members to take on key roles. The ever-evolving world of social media and digital marketing also keeps us on our toes, but we’ve embraced that challenge by hosting monthly guest speakers who are experts across the digital marketing space. This helps ensure our team stays inspired, educated, and ready to grow alongside the fast-paced changes in our industry.
