Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Knight.
Hi Rebecca, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I can definitely say, it hasn’t been a walk in the park. I started esthetics training while pregnant. My due date and my graduation date were two weeks of each other, which made me hesitant to even go because pregnancy can be pretty unpredictable. The first day, I was trying to decide and talk myself out of going. I almost didn’t go but I told myself that I owe it to myself to at least try. The first day of class we had a chance to create a vision board and my board consisted of being a boss/entrepreneur. Although I do still work for Dr. Miami (AKA Dr. Michael Salzhauer) I knew I wanted to go into the esthetics business working for myself.
Talk about blessed! I completed my hours with Aveda on 06/05/2019 and although the plan was to be induced, Kaiden arrived naturally 2 days later. But I started to jump start things up right away so right after passing my boards, I was home based for a while, which was ok at first. Then I bounced around to a few different locations but unfortunately, it was at the peak of Covid where we had to shut down for a couple of months. I took that time to study, do more retail, I was trying to be proactive.
When businesses reopened I started taking clients at home but I had my eyes open for office spaces. And through a dear friend of mine, I found the perfect location for me. It was scary, it was a big commitment. I was scared like you would believe but I did it anyway. Then things just blossomed from there. I’m blessed to do what I love on my terms. That’s what was on my vision board
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Tons, I’ve made tons of mistakes. I’ve ordered inventory that looked amazing online but upon arrivals it was a hot mess. I couldn’t retail it. That was a couple of grand! Poof! I got that message loud and clear and quickly……..order samples first! I mean the key is learn from it and keep it pushing!
As you know, we’re big fans of Blessed by Becca. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The majority of my services revolve around Non Evasive Body Contouring which I absolutely love. That includes modalities and techniques using Ultrasonic Cavitation, Radiofrequency, Maderotherapy, Laser Lipo, and of course everyone’s favorite the Non Surgical BBL.
I do offer services such as facials and waxing.
I recently launched a Detox Tea that has been doing very well. My clients have been so pleased with their results. The great part is that the ingredients are all natural……you know things you actually can pronounce. Lol!
My goal is to have you feeling as fabulous on the outside as you already are inside.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
“Reach for the moon, because even if you miss…you’ll still land amongst the stars.” -Les Brown
Keep going no matter what and I cannot stress how important family is. I’d love to acknowledge my husband Kelvin for all that he does and for being so supportive and of course my kiddos Brianna and Kaiden. You are my reasons why.
