Hi Rachel, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always been a passionate person, and I’ve learned to let my passions guide my path. I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, and moved to San Antonio in 2020 to begin a new chapter.
My journey in the beauty industry actually started over 20 years ago with makeup through Mary Kay. While I explored different career paths over the years, nothing truly aligned with me—especially while navigating personal challenges like chronic migraines, nerve issues and being a caretaker for my mother until she passed from cancer in 2019.
When COVID-19 shifted the world, I realized that my creative hobbies, like crocheting and custom t-shirts, weren’t enough to fulfill me and was not enough to support myself & children. That’s when I stepped into the world of lashing and esthetics—and I instantly fell in love.
I quickly became certified in lash extensions, which led me to pursue my esthetician license and complete 750 hours of training. Deep down, I always knew I was meant to own a business—I even studied business administration—but I didn’t yet know what that would look like.
Today, through faith and perseverance, I’ve built Divine Esthetics, a growing beauty business that I truly love. I now specialize in lash extensions, facials, lash lifts, brow services, facial waxing, and soft glam makeup. I’ve earned multiple certifications and have also stepped into mentoring and educating other women in the beauty industry, which has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my journey.
Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing—every step led me exactly where I’m meant to be.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—both in life and in my business. But I’ve learned that growth rarely comes from comfort.
My esthetician program was one of the most challenging experiences I’ve faced. While there were moments of excitement, there were also times that felt discouraging and isolating. The environment wasn’t always supportive, and at times it felt like certain students, including myself, were being pushed to give up.
There were many days I questioned whether I would make it through. But what kept me going was my vision—I knew how deeply I wanted to become a lash artist and build something of my own.
That experience taught me resilience. It wasn’t luck that got me here—it was perseverance, faith, and a decision to keep going no matter what. And now, I stand confidently in my purpose within the beauty industry.

Divine Esthetics is a Latina-owned, woman-owned beauty brand built on passion, purpose, and luxury.
As a licensed esthetician and solo lash artist, I specialize in creating customized beauty experiences through lash extensions, lash lifts and tints, brow lamination & tint, facials, facial waxing, and soft glam makeup. I’m especially known for my signature wispy volume lash sets.
What truly sets Divine Esthetics apart is the experience. Every client who walks through my door is treated with intention, care, and attention to detail. My goal is not just to enhance outer beauty, but to create a space where women feel confident, relaxed, and truly seen.
I also take pride in educating and mentoring other women who want to grow within the beauty industry. Being able to pour into others and share my knowledge has become one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.
