Meet Peter Trevino of HERO Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Peter Trevino.

Hi Peter, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m a real estate broker with 15 years in the real estate business. I started out with Apartment Locating and have been doing that since 2007. I recently transitioned our brokerage to HERO Realty Help Every Renter Own Realty. Our mission in 2022 is to help 100 families become homeowners. We leverage apartment locating as a starting point for our clients to start renting, build up their credit and eventually become homeowners. We now provide solutions for buyers and sellers in the San Antonio real estate market. We are passionate about real estate and look forward to helping renters become homeowners.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has definitely had its share of challenges. First learning how to help clients with bad credit broken leases and criminal backgrounds find a place to live. Second our market has grown so much that rents have raised so high and availability has been tough with most apartments at 95% occupancy. Lastly, we have seen challenges from properties paying us our commission in a timely manner. We focus on the solutions that are in our client’s best interest and provide value to help them reach their goals.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We Are HERO Realty our goal is to Help Every Renter Own. We provide solutions to buyers and sellers in our real estate market. I’m a growing real estate broker with a team of 10 that have one mission to help 100 families own this year. I’m proud to say our goals align with what are clients need for homeownership. We offer a solution to help every renter own through education and providing value in the marketplace. Our service is at no cost to clients as we are paid when you become a homeowner to sell your existing home.

What matters most to you? Why?
Helping Every Renter OWN.

Reason being when you rent you are giving away money to someone else. Imagine 5 years paying $1500 in rent to someone else. Over the course of 1 year that is $18,000. At 5 years that is $90,000 you could have had in equity in your home. Now I know we can’t all just go purchase a home right now but you can definitely make a plan now whether that be get credit counseling, plan a budget for down payment or start reporting rents on your credit to build measurable rental history. In the end, our goal is to help you become a homeowner.
