Meet Monica Camacho of MC Aesthetics Beautique

Today we’d like to introduce you to Monica Camacho.

Hi Monica, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
In 2019, I took a huge step and decided to open my own esthetics business. I had just graduated from Texas State University with my degree in Business Administration with 2 minors in Healthcare Administration and Mass Communications. I knew I wanted to do something in the beauty industry since I already had my Esthetician license in 2015.

I took additional training and constantly practiced to perfect my skills. My goal was not to only provide an environment where I love showing up to and being successful but to also bring other women to a new level of success with me. In 2020, after the shutdown, I was busier than ever and decided it was time to hire my first employee, by the end of 2020 not only did my business grow but I also moved into a bigger suite and ended the year with 3 employees.

Now as of November 2021, I have a total of 5 estheticians and one nail tech on my team! We are constantly training, perfecting our skills, and looking for new services to add! Coming to work really does not feel like work! We get to make our clients feel and look beautiful as we tend to their beauty needs and we have built fun friendships along the way.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business is never easy, there were a lot of challenges along the way.

From practicing and learning from my mistakes, finding the right suite, booking systems, handling social media, and the biggest challenge being Covid. I thought Covid would have a negative effect on my business but 2020 ended up being the best year, that’s when I grew the most and hired my 3 employees. Now being a new mom and being a business owner is the newest challenge.

Running my business, tending to clients, marketing, advertising, social media, looking for more employees, staying on top of the new beauty trends, and being a mom is hard, despite this new challenge it is 100% worth it.

When I see how many happy clients we have and see my employees reach new levels of success that they never had before such as financial freedom, getting cars, houses, apartments, and taking trips they never have before!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are licensed professionals who specialize in lash extensions, body waxing, facials, body sculpting, and nails. We absolutely love what we do and are always striving to learn more and better our skills.

All of our services are customizable to what our clients want, we do everything we can to tend to their beauty needs. Our brand is a group of empowered women who empower women through beauty by providing high-quality and skilled services.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In 2022, we will be offering permanent makeup services and hopefully continue to add to the team! I never plan on settling, I definitely believe there is always room to keep growing.

In 5 years, I see my business becoming a Medical Spa where we will expand our services and include laser services, Botox, filler, and more! I want to continue to give women the opportunity to grow in this industry, reach new levels of success, and love what they do!
