Hi Lee Evans, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up as a fifth-generation rancher, an experience that shaped my appreciation for hard work, resilience, and community—values that continue to guide me every step of the way.
My career journey has been anything but conventional. I began in television, transitioned into the medical field, and along the way, I noticed a frustrating gap in the market. There were no clothing options that were both stylish and versatile enough to transition seamlessly from day to night. That realization sparked the idea for my brand: a line of apparel that blends the elegance of formal wear with the comfort and functionality of activewear.
Today, my designs are about more than just clothing—they’re about empowering women to feel confident, capable, and unstoppable, no matter where their day takes them.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Building my brand has been a journey full of challenges and learning curves. I didn’t come from a fashion background, so I had to teach myself everything—from understanding fabric technology to learning design software and navigating manufacturing.
One of the biggest struggles was finding the right materials that met my vision for comfort, functionality, and style. I spent months researching textiles and testing different fabrics to make sure the designs delivered on the promise of versatility. Another challenge was simply getting started—taking an idea and turning it into something real can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re doing it without formal training or a roadmap.
But those challenges made every success that much more rewarding. It’s been a labor of love, and I wouldn’t trade the lessons I’ve learned along the way.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
The COVID-19 crisis taught me the crucial lessons of adaptability and resilience, both in life and in business. It reminded me that nothing is guaranteed, and being able to pivot quickly is essential. In fact, MMB was founded during this time, and the challenges of the pandemic only strengthened my commitment to creating versatile, comfortable, and practical clothing that meets the evolving needs of women.
