Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayfabe.
It’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Kayfabe share’s this drive to perform as tall as the giants of music that have been alongside us for as long as we can remember. We share that passion which led us to begin to form in late May of 2022 and ever since we’ve been building momentum from every show that we perform at. Without it, Kayfabe wouldn’t exist. Kayfabe consist of the four us. Ray Marval the singer/songwriter/rhythm guitarist, Gavin mounting the throne behind the drum set, Roel grooving in his own world along the frets of the bass, and Vince shredding with his heart on the lead guitar.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been too easy as we all want to be sure we all have the drive and passion in order to achieve our goals of headlining stadiums and arenas. We had to let go of someone at one point because they just didn’t have the desire as we all felt was needed to get to where we are now. Wish them all the best but it’s what we all push amongst each other.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We’re an original rock band from San Antonio and we’re proud of the way we work together alongside the music community around us. We’re looking to break open the door to the music scene San Antonio has to share and all the networking we’ve done so far amongst our fellow peers really has us excited to be along others who also want that same goal. It’s been really kick ass.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out.
Just keep playing, if performing is what you want to do then just keep at it, time will surprise you over time if you just keep playing.
