Meet Jen McKee of Kee Hart Marketing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jen McKee.

Hi Jen, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Since I was a kid, I had an entrepreneur and creator bug, I tried to make my own clothes, write multiple books, start a pet sitting club, and then a few different network marketing companies. Kee Hart Marketing came to life in 2018 when I saw the social media need business owners had and realized that they didn’t have the time or expertise to do it themselves. I reached out to a few business owners I knew and was able to quickly get my first clients.

Kee Hart Marketing stayed small as a side hustle for me until the pandemic started and I was forced out of my comfortable bartending job and found my company as my only source of income. In August of 2020, I hired a business coach who has helped me scale.

In 2021, I was able to take on 4 creators and an assistant to help me with client fulfillment and systematizing the back end of the business. Kee Hart Marketing is now a social media marketing agency that helps service-provider B2C businesses show on social media as an industry leader.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I don’t think starting and scaling a business could ever be a completely smooth road. Building a business is also a huge lesson in personal growth. I try to focus on taking care of my mental and physical health by reading, journaling, and doing CrossFit.

Keeping my relationship with my husband solid while raising young kids and building a company can be a struggle for sure. We prioritize monthly date nights and couples counseling as we navigate this season.

When I hired my coach, I did so on credit because I believed so deeply in the purpose, taking on that debt was hard. Finding clients and losing clients always feels really tough and feels so personal, though it’s usually not.

Now my struggles are more around being a good leader for my team while still being able to provide top-quality work for my clients.

We’ve been impressed with Kee Hart Marketing, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Kee Hart Marketing is a social media marketing agency for B2C service-based companies. We help businesses owners get sales and get seen via Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

We’re powered by data, performance, and analytics. We spend time each week tracking trends, watching results, and pivoting as necessary. Our goal is to help our clients reach their social media objectives. We’ve helped our clients be seen by tens of thousands of people, bring in 100s of new clients and customers, and improve traffic and sales to their website by over 200%.

How do you think about luck?
I believe more in the power of manifestation. We have the power to create our dream life. There are definitely people that start out with better fortune or “luck” and there are people who start out “behind”.

But we all have the gift of this amazing human life and we have each day to make decisions on how we live it out. I work each day to create my dream life. And I believe I have the power to make those dreams come true (with the help of the universe!).
