Today we’d like to introduce you to Gilbert Velasquez.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
I have been in the music business for over 50 years as a performer and studio owner / producer-engineer. I started playing guitar in church in 1969; I have garnered 16 Grammy / Latin Grammys, numerous other accolades, and recognition at local and state levels.
Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Hard work and determination have proved to be a factor in success. The music business remains very much a “hustle.”
I appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Velasquez Productions Inc.?
The recording studio/production house has been known as Velasquez Music since 1995. I produce and record all genres of music. Excellence in passion for music has (again) led to numerous accolades over the years.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I have had many influences. However, my work ethic is the key to success in my path.
