Meet Diana Clapp of Ronnie Trevino Property Group at Keller Williams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Clapp.

Hi Diana, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I was born and raised in Guerrero, Mexico, I lived there until I was 20 years old and in January 2015 I moved to San Antonio, due to the security problem that exists in Mexico, so from one day to the next I was already living here, I arrived without knowing how to speak English or knowing anyone. Adapting to a new lifestyle was difficult since I didn’t know anyone in the city, but I have always known how to make my way through. My father bought a restaurant in Wimberley, Tx and the whole family was working on it for 3 years, it was hard work but without a doubt, it left us with many lessons.

Months later I went to study at UTSA and it was there where I met incredible people and made a lot of friends. Over time I have had various jobs from being a waitress and having an insurance business to today being a realtor. My parents have always taught us to work and fight for what we want, so it was always with that in mind that I decided to obtain my license as a real estate agent. I currently work with Keller Williams, my work team (Ronnie Trevino Properties Group) is positioned within the top 50 of all the city! We specialize in residential sales, farm and ranch, and even property management!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Definitely, the road has not been easy but at the same time it has been fun, I arrived in San Antonio knowing absolutely nothing about the city, not knowing how to speak English, but more nevertheless San Antonio and its people were and continue to be very good to me, I have always found people along the way who have helped me, who have opened the doors of their businesses (to work) and their homes, from the first day I knew that this city would be the one I would call home.

As an international student, you’re faced with challenges on what you’re able to do or not in the country, it was years later that I got my residency that I could start building what I have today. I am very fortunate to be surrounded by incredible people who have helped me along the way, my parents, sisters, friends, and my now husband.
