Hi Diana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My entrepreneurship journey began when I migrated to the United States at 16, seeking a better future. I started working in the hospitality industry, from the smallest hotel to the highest in Las Vegas, NV, early on. Most of my experiences have been hands-on, working with people from all walks of life, and I adapted to my surroundings very quickly, learning the English language and finishing school; I was driven to grow! In the past years, I have traveled across the nation, living in different locations that life took me, which has brought me a lot of knowledge in the business working in different ventures, including the automobile industry, sales, medical, and government work. I established my first cleaning service business in my early twenties in Illinois. I provided my cleaning knowledge, where I had high customer satisfaction, and learned how to manage a business. This led me to the beautiful city of San Antonio, which I fell in love with the second I arrived. My knowledge and experience in the cleaning business led me to continue with something I know and love, creating MetaMaids Cleaning Service here in San Antonio, Texas. MetaMaids is a family owned and operated business that focuses on customer satisfaction. We are not just a business that cleans properties, we truly bring a positive outlook to the community.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey was not a walk in the park. I have spent countless hours on courses taken, searching, planning, and marketing, nothing has been easy, I always put plans together but taking the first step was a challenge. Juggling my work life balance whilst trying to build my brand did not happen overnight. My determination and goals over the years have made me more focused on my dreams in the business world. I am a strong independent woman that has no limits when accomplishing what I set my mind to.
