Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Brinkman
Hi Christine, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey to where I am today has been anything but linear—it’s been a winding road full of pivots, lessons, and unexpected joys. I always knew I wanted to create something that allowed me to build meaningful connections and build community.
It all started when I owned Kienbee Boutique, a sweet business where I was sewing keepsakes. through that business I began connecting with other handmade women owned businesses.
Eventually, life shifted, and I found myself craving something deeper—something that combined my love for connection with my desire to empower others. That’s how Babes Support Babes was born. It started as a small market in 2018, where women entrepreneurs could showcase their talents, connect with others, and grow their businesses. From there, it evolved into a full-fledged women’s entrepreneur community, becoming a safe and inspiring space where women could feel supported, inspired, and seen.
As the vision grew, so did the opportunities. Babes Support Babes membership launched in 2021 and then we in 2022, I took a big leap and opened the Babes Support Babes Co-Space, a rental venue that serves as the heart of our community. It’s a cozy, chic space where we host BSB events, workshops, and celebrations. I also open my doors to others who want to gather, whether it’s to host their own workshops, celebrate milestones, or grow their own communities. Creating a space where women can connect and thrive has been the most rewarding part of this journey.
Through Babes Support Babes, I’ve found my passion in helping women build lives they love. Whether it’s coaching someone through their next big business move or hosting events that spark meaningful connections, my mission is to create opportunities for women to grow—in their work, their relationships, and themselves.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to where I am today has been anything but smooth, but I’ve learned that the challenges along the way have shaped me and my business in ways I never expected. Like most entrepreneurs, I’ve faced my fair share of struggles, both personal and professional.
One of the biggest hurdles has been learning to navigate life and business with ADHD. For a long time, I felt like I was constantly battling my own mind—managing time, staying organized, and juggling all the moving pieces of running a business didn’t come naturally to me. I had to figure out systems and tools that worked for *me* and embrace the fact that my brain processes things differently. It was a mindset shift to see ADHD not as a hindrance, but as a unique part of who I am that fuels my creativity and ability to connect with others.
Another challenge was pivoting and evolving Babes Support Babes as it grew. What started as a small market in 2018 quickly outgrew its original vision, and I found myself needing to make big decisions about where to take it next. I knew I wanted it to be more than just a market—I wanted it to be a community, a place where women could gather, learn, and grow. That meant stepping into uncharted territory, taking risks, and being okay with not having all the answers.
Opening the Co-Space brought its own set of challenges, from securing funding to designing a space that felt welcoming and functional for everyone. I also had to learn how to balance being a mom, wife, and entrepreneur while pouring my heart into this business. There were plenty of late nights and moments of doubt, wondering if I was doing enough or if I was on the right path.
One of the most difficult lessons I’ve learned is how to set boundaries—not just with my time, but also with my energy. As someone who thrives on helping others, it can be hard to step back and focus on what I need to grow my own business and take care of myself. I’ve had to learn that saying “no” doesn’t mean I’m letting anyone down; it means I’m creating space to say “yes” to the right opportunities.
Despite the challenges, I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything. Each struggle has taught me resilience, helped me refine my vision, and reminded me why I started Babes Support Babes in the first place. It’s not about having a perfect road—it’s about learning to navigate the twists and turns with grace and determination. And when I see the connections, growth, and transformations happening within this community, I know every bump along the way has been worth it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was always the kid who loved bringing people together. I can vividly remember my 5th birthday party—not because of the presents or the fun pizza place my parents picked, but because I was surrounded by my favorite people. Even then, it wasn’t just about me. I let my guests open my presents because I wanted *them* to feel special. Looking back, it’s clear that quality time has always been my love language.
I was the kid who thrived in group settings, whether it was organizing playdates or dreaming up fun ways to make others feel included. Gathering people has been a natural extension of who I am for as long as I can remember. It’s no surprise that now, as an adult, I’m constantly thinking of ways to bring others together, whether it’s through celebrations, workshops, or simple moments of connection.
Those early experiences shaped me into someone who sees the beauty in community and the power of shared experiences. It’s not just what I do now—it’s who I’ve always been.
