Meet Charlie Castanedo Brito of Stickable Creative

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charlie Castanedo Brito

Hi Charlie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m originally from Mexico City and have been hooked on filmmaking since I was a kid—thanks to my grandpa, who was a film director and one of my first mentors. I moved to San Antonio when I was 10 (now I’m 26) and, while adjusting to a new language and city, kind of lost touch with my passion for a bit.

At 12, I started volunteering with the media team at Community Bible Church, running cameras to broadcast services. I loved it, and it reminded me how much I enjoyed creating. When I turned 13, my parents bought me my first camera—nothing fancy, but enough to let me experiment and improve. I started taking on small gigs, saving up until I could buy my first real camera, and that’s when things started to click.

By 15, I was doing weddings, music videos, and small business projects. I even took an Audio/Video class in high school, while most of my friends were gaming or hanging out. I was diving deeper into film and building my skills. Eventually, I got asked to create a senior year documentary, which ended up winning first place with the National Society of High School Scholars and helped me land a scholarship. I joined The Los Angeles Film School and started traveling with creative agencies to work on projects like documentaries, commercials, and music videos.

Now, with over 13 years of experience, I run Stickable Creative, a creative agency specializing in branding and content creation. But that’s just the start… My real goal is to get back into filmmaking full-time and see where it leads next!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges I faced was being “too young” for the gig. I was often competing with people way older than me, so I had to switch up my approach. Instead of asking clients to commit to a full project, I’d just ask them to give me a chance. That’s where I really had to prove myself.

What made the difference was putting excellence into everything I did. No matter the size of the project, I always gave it my best. Today, I’m proud to say my work reflects that commitment to excellence.

We’ve been impressed with Stickable Creative, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Stickable Creative, we help brands come to life in a way that actually sticks. We do a bit of everything—branding, web design, content creation—and just focus on making things that feel real and memorable.

We’ve been doing this for a while, so we just put our all into every project. When you work with us, it’s less about “getting a service” and more about working together to bring your story to life.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
One thing I’d say is to learn to take risks. I used to be super comfortable, and while that’s great for some, for me, it was limiting. I realized that comfort was stopping me from growing. Before I opened my creative agency, I had a 9-5 job. It was good, but I knew that to really chase my goals, I had to take a risk and do my own thing.

A lot of times, we know exactly what we need to do, but we don’t do it because we’re scared. So if you’re just starting out, get used to taking those calculated risks. Otherwise, you’ll hit a wall sooner than you think.
