Meet Baylee London of Boudoir by Bay

Today we’d like to introduce you to Baylee London.

Hi Baylee, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Almost 10 years ago, my newspaper advisor handed me a camera and sent me to photograph a football game to accompany a story I was writing. At the time, I was a journalist focused on sports and editorial writing. What was supposed to be a simple assignment ended up changing the course of my life; I instantly fell in love with photography.

For the next three years, I focused on sports photography. Then, during college, the pandemic sent me back home to Idaho, where I soon became a mother. I decided to pursue photography full-time, starting with family portraits before eventually finding my true passion in boudoir photography.

In 2023, I photographed my first major recording artist and discovered a whole new creative outlet. The energy, emotion, and storytelling of the music industry reignited the same excitement I felt on the sidelines of those football games years before. Since then, I’ve built a career that allows me to balance luxury boudoir experiences with concert photography and creative portraiture and travel for it.

Today, I’m an award-winning photographer who has worked with hundreds of incredible clients, built a multi-six-figure business, traveling across the country constantly for sessions and events, and helped people see themselves in a whole new light. Whether I’m photographing a woman rediscovering her confidence, an artist commanding a stage, or a family preserving a moment in time, my mission remains the same: to create images that make people feel seen, empowered, and unforgettable.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey hasn’t always been easy. Along the way, I’ve navigated the uncertainty of the pandemic, became a mother, rebuilt my life and business more than once in multiple states, and took countless risks to pursue a dream that had no guarantees. There were moments of self-doubt, long nights, financial challenges, and personal hardships that tested me in ways I never expected.

But every obstacle reinforced why I do what I do. Each challenge taught me resilience, strengthened my passion, and deepened my appreciation for the people who trust me to capture some of the most important moments of their lives.

Looking back, I wouldn’t change any part of the journey. Every setback helped shape the photographer and business owner I am today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
What sets me apart isn’t just the photos I create but the experience and connection behind them. Whether I’m photographing a woman stepping into her confidence during a boudoir session or working with a creative building their brand, I’m drawn to moments of authenticity, vulnerability, and power. My work is rooted in storytelling. I don’t believe in stiff poses or forcing people into a version of themselves that isn’t real. Instead, I focus on creating an environment where people feel comfortable enough to let their guard down and show up as they truly are. That’s where the magic happens.

I’m known for creating luxury boudoir experiences that leave clients feeling empowered long after their session ends, as well as capturing artists in a way that reflects not just what they look like, but who they are.

At the heart of everything I do is the same mission: helping people see themselves through a new lens and creating images that feel as powerful as the moment itself.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
When I was around 11/12, I would write scripts, film, and direct silly short films with my friends. There would be up to 10 of us girls running around my parent’s house filming scenes. I spent countless hours editing clips and burning CD copies that we would watch and share with our families. It was not surprise to anyone that I ended up behind the camera.
