Life & Work with Trev Trevino of San Antonio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trev Trevino.

Hi Trev, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started photography after high school because I really enjoyed my photojournalism class that I was able to take my senior year of high school. It was such a subjective way to be creative and it really helped me explore new places and people. My senior year I had a friend ask me if I was interested in taking her graduation photos. At this point I only took photos of friends for fun so I took that opportunity and turned it into something I wanted everyone to enjoy. Because I enjoyed being a creative and helping people take pleasure and appreciate their milestones or helping be able to show off on their social media, I vowed to make my photography accessible to everyone. Everyone should be able to show off their happiest and proudest moments no matter what their budget is. I also began to take pride in my individuality of my creativity by fusing a business with my personal vision ideation of photography.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There has definitely been some difficulties like imposter syndrome, losing business and motivation after trying to move out of Texas. Then having to try to build my business and creativity after moving back to Texas. I realized that I changed a lot within that time and I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to find that creativity back.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am mainly a portrait photographer who occasionally does some landscape photography here and there. I like to play around with all styles and learn new techniques when I can. I eventually want to make content all around whether it is for a client or as something I want to put out on my own as an artist. I also try to incorporate my photography in my writing as well. I am most proud of how I try to blend my creativity as an artist into my business.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
You can always reach out to me via social media. I love working with new people and trying new things or different styles.
