Life & Work with Sam Nobles of San Antonio, Texas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sam Nobles

Hi Sam, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I came to know Jesus as my Savior at the age of 11 years old. Sadly, a lack of understanding and discipleship led me to walk out of fellowship with God. As a teenager and young adult, I found myself locked in the chains of drug addiction. When I was 22 years old, a friend of mine reminded me that my relationship with Jesus could be restored. God delivered me from that dark time and inspired life where there was death. I committed my life to Christ and was called into ministry. A life following the call of Christ can be challenging, but it is always worth it… C’mon somebody!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Traditional church structures often present obstacles that can hinder people from experiencing true connection and transformation. Strict bylaws, the need for committee sign-offs, and an institutional reputation that can feel judgmental often create barriers to entry for many. These structures can sometimes give the impression that the church is only for those who “have it all together,” leading people to feel that they must meet certain standards before they can belong. In contrast, I believe in meeting people right where they are, creating an environment where everyone feels welcomed, accepted, and inspired by the Word. My ministry focuses on people who can come as they are, experience the love and grace of Christ, and leave empowered to go out to share that love and minister to others in their own communities.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Sam Nobles Ministries, I’m passionate about making a way for all people to experience Jesus, whether through in-person events or digital platforms. Our mission as a 501(c)(3) is guided by God’s direction as we continue to evolve and expand our reach.

I’ve been blessed to have over 20 years of experience as a pastor, motivational speaker, and ministry leader. Speaking at conferences, camps, and events nationally and globally has allowed me to connect with multi-generational audiences and inspire life change. As a teacher, I’m known for my humor, storytelling, reflective biblical insights, and my signature phrase, “C’mon, Somebody!” My goal is to make the Gospel accessible, engaging, and relevant.

One of the things I’m most proud of is my work mentoring those struggling with addiction. My own journey allows me to meet people where they are with genuine empathy and support, giving back to the community that has supported me.

I’ve also had the privilege to serve on various boards, including the Parker County Chamber of Commerce and the Race Relations Board, and to contribute to organizations like the San Antonio Baptist Association. In addition to my ministry, I’m a writer and musician, which I feel adds depth to my message and helps me connect with people from all walks of life.

I’m always committed to moving forward with humility and an open heart, seeking to build meaningful connections and follow God’s lead in every step of the ministry.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Starting both a ministry and an LLC focused on breaking paradigms is definitely a risk, but Prophet Bones LLC has been a dream of mine for years. I know the name might sound unusual, and a lot of people have asked about its origin, so let me tell you the story behind it…

Scripture tells the story of a battle between Israel and Moab. In the heat of battle, a soldier died and was inadvertently thrown into the tomb which held the bones of Elisha the prophet. When the dead soldier touched the bones of the prophet, he immediately came back to life (2 Kings 13:20-21).

Elisha was a man who, even after his death, still influenced and affected people’s lives. The purpose of this ministry is to inspire life to those who may stumble upon these “bones.” It is my prayer that long after I’m gone, the truth God speaks, the dreams He gives, the love He shows, and the blessings He bestows will cause us and others to spring to life spiritually and continue a legacy that gives Him glory.

It is up to each of us to leave a spiritual legacy and be able to answer the question…

“How do I INSPIRE LIFE?”

I want to inspire life through joy and biblical truth.
