Today we’d like to introduce you to Once More.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We are an emo-core band from San Antonio Texas called Once More, we got our start in 2024 when members of the now disbanded project called potthum got together to write music. Our original lineup consisted of Easton, Kamden, Anthony and Ben but we parted ways with Ben shortly after forming due to creative differences, he now is the lead vocalist of our good friends Ancients of Avalon. Shortly before parting ways with Ben we saw the addition of a second guitarist named Noah whose time in the band was short-lived. After parting ways with Ben we reached out to former Potthum bandmate Eli and inquired about him becoming our new vocalist, he happily said yes and joined just in time to be featured on one song off our EP “Your Favorite Regret”. In the summer of 2025 we started to plan our Texas tour when Noah left the band due to internal disputes, we frantically reached out to people seeing as the tour was booked and thankfully Yen, a local musician formerly of lifeisbeautiful, One Last dance, and herdeadline agreed to embark on the tour with us, He learned our whole setlist in less than 3 weeks and we set off on tour. This time period really solidified all of our friendships and Yen’s place in the band. We quickly started writing new songs and playing shows which helped grow our presence in the San Antonio underground music scene as well as scenes across the state of Texas. Recently we took a trip to Austin to record our upcoming album with paper car productions which is in the production phase right now and should be out before the end of 2026.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road for us, from lineup changes, recording struggles, scheduling conflicts and everything in between it hasn’t been the easiest to continue on but despite the struggles we have encountered we persist so that we can give fans great new music and energetic live performances.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As far as what we do I’d say from day one we have been performers, we have always put the audience’s enjoyment first and I think we succeed in that greatly, our shows are fast, energetic, and cathartic. I’d say this sets us apart from other people in our realm of music, they may have made a great song but do they look excited while playing it, is it fun to watch? We hope that anyone who witnesses us live could speak on the talent of our members as well as the performance we put on, it’s a fun atmosphere for everyone.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson we have learned across our entire journey thus far is to make friends. Being friendly and helpful is probably one of the most important things as an artist, creative, musician, or anyone trying to make a name for themselves. If you show up early, offer a helping hand and talk to people most times they will reciprocate it and help you out.
