Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsay Teer.
Hi Lindsay, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
When I launched my real estate career in 2016, I didn’t know every twist and turn ahead—but I had one clear vision: to help families in the New Braunfels area write a different story for their future. I started out helping buyers and sellers understand what often feels like a confusing process—finance terms, timing, paperwork—and over the years I found my passion for educating, strategizing, and connecting people to the right resources. I helped build a $40 million-producing team at Keller Williams, and today I’m bringing that experience to my work at Vista Realty, where I partner with clients locally to deliver personal, meaningful outcomes.
Over the past decade I’ve had the privilege of assisting hundreds of families buy and sell homes, earning recognition as one of New Braunfels’ Top 3 “Best of the Best Realtors” for four years in a row.
What fuels me isn’t just the transaction—it’s seeing someone walk through those doors in their own home, feeling the relief and excitement that comes from having a place to call their own. I lean into creativity, resourcefulness and full-throttle communication, because most people feel stuck by fear or uncertainty. My job is to help them move past that, to stand with them when the path gets rocky, and to make sure their “yes” moment comes.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Over the last decade, I’ve seen the real estate market turn itself inside out — more than once. We’ve navigated four major market shifts: the uncertainty of COVID, the post-pandemic buying frenzy, the rapid climb in interest rates from 2.5% to over 7% in less than a year, and now a flood of inventory and cautious buyers trying to find their footing again. Each phase brought its own challenges — financially, emotionally, and professionally — both for my clients and for me.
On a personal level, I’ve had my share of storms. I went through a divorce, lost my real estate team, my core support system, and even my own home — all while trying to help other people find theirs. There were moments where starting over felt impossible. But that’s also where my purpose deepened. I learned that resilience isn’t about avoiding loss or fear; it’s about standing back up with the same heart, the same grit, and an even clearer vision for the future.
Today, I use those experiences to connect with my clients on a different level. I understand the anxiety of the unknown, the strain of finances, and the weight of big decisions. But I also know how powerful it feels to rebuild — to create a new chapter, one home and one goal at a time.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I help people buy and sell homes, but more than that, I help them overcome the hurdles that often make homeownership feel out of reach. I specialize in walking buyers through the financial side of things — credit repair, down payment assistance, and creative loan solutions — so they can make confident, informed decisions. Over the last decade, I’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of families find stability and build wealth through real estate.
I think what sets me apart is my ability to meet people where they are — to really listen, educate, and empower them. I’m not the type to sugarcoat the process, but I am the one who will stick with you until you get those keys. I’m proud that most of my business comes from referrals — people I’ve helped who send their friends and family my way because they know I’ll take care of them. At the end of the day, I think that’s what it’s all about — leading with heart, persistence, and a genuine belief that no dream is too far out of reach.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
You know what usually surprises people? I don’t actually love houses. I know, it sounds crazy coming from a Realtor, right? Don’t get me wrong — I appreciate beautiful design and a good floor plan as much as the next person, but that’s not what keeps me in real estate. What I really love is people. I love walking them through big, emotional, life-changing moments — solving problems, calming fears, finding creative solutions when the odds feel stacked against them. Real estate just happens to be the platform where I get to do all of that. The homes are just the backdrop; the people are the story.
