Today we’d like to introduce you to Francesco Ferreri.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m a man from a small town close to the border with France. I ended up High School and then decided to not go further with the University because I choosed manual works instead. Then in 2016 I realized I needed some specialisation so I attended a 3 year University in Nursing because I always felt the desire to help people. Now I received an optimal job proposal from abroad so I’m leaving the country to move to the Netherlands
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The main struggle was the intense pace of the University due to the lessons,internships and the great amount of scientifical issues to study at the age of 35 years old while the major part of my mates where twenties y.o. Anyway I manage to get the degree with a 104/110 score that was much better than the vote at the Lyceum. I was able to overcome these struggles by having a great confidence in myself and not falling down.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a nurse since 2 years. I take care of the patients trying to listen to everyone’s request and needs. It takes a great concentration but I’m glad to receive often their appreciation. In my spare time I feed my artistic talent by creating objects with the wood in order to decorate my house.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
I learnt that a balance was broken by the mankind not only causing the pandemic crisis but also for the climate change and lack of respect for the environment. In my work I realised a lot of disinformation about the covid and the vaccine and the urge to provide them evidence based suggestion to make them understand the unclear issues they have.
