

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fatima Hendrix.
Hi Fatima, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
This story goes back to a 12-year-old girl who first discovered the live music scene and fell in love with the culture of her city. Being born into a family that was one of the first Spanish bloodlines to come to Texas, I have a deep connection to San Antonio and the greater Texas area. We deserve to receive more visibility and awareness of this city and the great Businesses that make up our culture. Most of my career has been in hospitality, customer service, and events. I’ve had the honor of working with names big and small from T-Mobile, Zegna, and Vidcon. As an event manager, I’ve traveled throughout the US, Canada, and Singapore, giving me the opportunity to document on Social media and further establish my presence in the online world; fast forward to 2020, when I started my business. I wanted to document and help preserve the businesses struggling through the COVID era, so I used Instagram to market and raise awareness. I was happy to connect with small and large businesses to help establish and navigate social media marketing. Using the power of social media and seeing how it helped these business owners unlock their online potential confirmed my love for the digital marketing realm.
I’ve established, managed, and worked with over 30 clients in several different industries, from musicians to beauticians and everything in between. I am expanding my business to new cities and am always looking to offer more services to the Hendrix Network. I love meeting new, passionate entrepreneurs and business owners daily and adding value to their branding. With a strong belief in long-term relationships, I prefer quality over quantity with my clients and only work with those who align with my values. I’m not the type of “influencer” or marketer here to fake the funk; I enhance and highlight what makes every client more unique than the last. Authenticity is universally relatable, so I’ve helped clients reach their social media goals and more by showing off their unique business or service. Social media is more than just an app; it has been a tool for me to manifest my best life. I’m very grateful to be able to harness the power of social media and show others how to. Hopefully, with more services and God willing, I will reach more people and inspire them to hold space and show up for their dreams, whatever they may be.
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been relatively smooth so far?
Owning your own business is challenging but always rewarding. I grew up in a household with a hard-working attitude and work ethic engraved into my culture. So, I decided to see things in the way that I have to choose. My “hard” would be to work for someone else or face the challenges of working for myself.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might need to be more familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I took photography, advanced art, and illustration in high school and started this online journey in 2011 when I first joined Instagram. If I ever thought I would be getting paid to do this in the online arena when I used to post online before it was considered a career, let alone “cool,” then I would not have believed you.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Empathy. My business operates from the heart, and my clients can feel that. I connect with my clients and treat them like family; I only work with businesses that do the same. If you focus on your impact on this world, then the income will eventually come into its impact over income because it follows closely after.
