Erica, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I launched La Piña Boutique on January 18th, 2021 focusing on providing women with a place where they can find great gifts, great ideas, and amazing products for themselves and their loved ones. Starting a boutique has always been my dream and, on that day, I was finally able to turn that dream into reality.
I took a leap of faith, focused all my energy on my goals, and put myself in God’s hands. La Piña Boutique specializes in fun, festive and seasonal merchandise. From the boldness of beaded earrings to colorful and stylish clothing, there is always something new from which to choose. My merchandise changes with each season and is influenced by current trends in style.
I handpick everything that I offer, focusing on items that are both colorful and exciting to wear. This is the hallmark of my boutique because I feel that life is a celebration and it’s always best to look fabulous while celebrating each day!
I work with local vendors and makers to showcase products that are influenced by San Antonio culture and community. So when you make a purchase from La Piña Boutique, you are not only supporting me but also a local maker. We are all in this together and it’s great to work with local makers to create truly unique and inspiring products that everyone can enjoy.
In addition to an online presence, La Piña Boutique also appears at many of the open-air markets throughout San Antonio. I am always happy to meet customers that come into my booth and enjoy sharing ideas and tips to help them find the right piece of jewelry or the perfect blouse to make their day. I hope that everyone that comes across my boutique finds something joyful that helps them smile each time they wear it.
The boutique has changed and accomplished so much in one year. It all started with offering great products in an online store. Having a booth at various open-air markets was quickly added. Now, with the launch of the monthly earring subscription box, customers can enjoy truly unique products from La Piña Boutique delivered straight to their door. Each month, customers will receive a special delivery that is sure to surprise and excite them.
We are grateful for the wonderful support from our customers, family, and fellow vendors that have become like family. We would not be here without their continuous support! I know with God all things are possible and I know he will guide me in future years to come!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the challenges that I had has been getting the merchandise on time for the season we are trying to promote. With Covid and delayed deliveries, we had to adjust and make things work.

Aside from my online boutique, I do work full time. I love what I do, both in my business and my full-time job. I get to create and make things happen. Which is one of my strongest strengths.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is my family. This is why I started my online business. I want to make sure my business is something I can pass down to my daughter and the generations to come.
