Today we’d like to introduce you to Catalina DiBaggio.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I never thought I’d be creating content as a job let alone being a mom while doing it. When I realized back in 2018 I had to leave my normal lash artist job to be a full time stay at home mom, I knew I needed to do something to occupy my time. So I started Barely There Momma, I wanted to create a space where anyone can come and connect on a genuine level while showing all the day to day things the good, bad and ugly we new moms go through. It hasn’t been as easy as many may think it takes countless hours to put in the time to create content from scouting out locations to planning out feed aesthetic. And all while trying to care my two girls, sometimes I get torn between my work and playing with them but I’ve learned how to juggle the two as best as I can. Words cant describe the amount of support and community you gain, I’ve met some amazing people and have been able to create lasting friendships. Since having my second daughter and my oldest going to school I’ve had a lot of free time and I’ve been creating my new venture Tex Style Threads. It wouldn’t be possible without the love and support of my family and the online community of people ive come in contact with.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has been rough emotionally because for me in the beginning I was doing this for the wrong reasons and I had to realize that it takes work. You don’t just get things for free, Yes sometimes you do but it feels way better knowing people will pay for the work that you do.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Stay at home mom is a really job in its self your at constant work 24-7 and now a business owner of a vintage retail online shop. I’m most proud of being able to work with some amazing brands, Target, Clean Beauty, Ricos Nachos just a few to name. I don’t know if there’s anything that sets me apart but being authentic and genuine is key for me.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The authenticity and dedication no matter how frustrating or difficult it can be.
