Today we’d like to introduce you to Alejandro Franco.
Hi Alejandro, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I used to work for my father in his upholstery shop. It was a family business Me my father and two older brothers, but I’ve always wanted to have something of my own. In late 2023 I decided to go my own way. While still working for my father, I would do projects at night in the garage. Little by little we had enough clients to completely leave my father’s shop. Then by the time we knew it, our garage was fully packed, and we started looking for a shop. We found the perfect location in universal city Tx. On top of the location, the community welcomed us with open arms and was so supportive. Although, located in UC , we service all of San Antonio and surrounding areas.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has honestly been a very smooth road for us so far, of course in the beginning, it was a slow start to gather clients, but once our name was out and word of mouth spread it has been great.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At Lone Star Covered, we offer upholstery services for residential and commercial clients. We take in small orders as in zipper replacements to large sectional recovers.
I think what sets us apart from other shops is the customer service. We have had clients tell us other shops were very rude and not very responsive
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most would be the clients experience when choosing us. Want to be sure they are happy from the time we answer the phone to the time we finish the project. Great Customer service is what brings in clients.
