Hi Tyana, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Ever since I was age 10, I wanted to own my own business, my dream is to one day own a shopping center, however, life sometimes gets in our way of completing our goals, in 2020, I decided to leave my hometown and move to Texas when I first made this move I was working for a leave of absence company and got sick myself the treatment I received lead me in the direction of opening my own business and being my own boss.
So August 1st, 2021 I opened Tydyehairlounge in Spring, Texas, and online at www.Tydyehairloungellc.com it’s been challenging but I am keeping hope that this will one day become a success story.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has been very stressful, I have experienced partners backing out last minute, barely making sales, and paying fully out of my own pocket.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At Tydyehairlounge, I am providing my customers with high-quality hair products such as weave bundles, frontal, closures, wigs, Tree Tea Oil Shampoo, conditioner, and hair masks. I also have hair bonnets, edge bands, and braiding hair. But not only can you purchase things items I provide braiding services.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice would be to not give up, it’s going to be hard there are always obstacles in the way but over time it will be worth it all!
