Hi Kylie; we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
When my husband and I moved to New Braunfels nearly 2 years ago, we missed some of the Mexican staples of our childhoods, including fresh aguas frescas. I started making fresh aguas for us at home and thought I was on to something because of the great feedback I received from family and friends. We knew we didn’t want to do a traditional tent set-up but instead wanted a small trailer concept that could be brought out to events like weddings, corporate events, and large community events. With that, Aguas Tejanas was born in late 2022 and had been growing quickly.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Building out the trailer was very time-consuming and labor-intensive. For nearly a month, we worked on it for hours a day until it was complete. My husband and I have put blood, sweat, and tears into the trailer and are very proud of how it turned out. There is a lot of behind-the-scenes work that goes into building a business, and up until recently, I was also a full-time PR Manager, so I worked to build the business with any spare time I had outside of work. I have recently quit my corporate job to pursue building my agua empire and am very excited about the future of Aguas Tejanas.

We make delicious, refreshing Aguas Frescas with an elevated twist! All our aguas are made with all-natural ingredients: no artificial flavors, syrups, colors, or processed sugars. We dress our aguas with a house-made chamoy, Tajin rim, fresh fruits, and chili gummies. Our most popular flavors are Strawberry, Mango, and “The Sunset,” -a mix of both. We strive to make the best Aguas Frescas you have ever had: a treat for your taste buds and social media feed! We specialize in weddings, corporate, and large community events. We are booking private events and will have a summer location right by the river in New Braunfels soon.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Joining local networking groups has helped me get to know the area better, meet other business owners, and helping me make connections.
