Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazmen and Jordan Williams.
Jazmen and Jordan, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Jazmen Williams and I am Jordan Williams, we are the owners of BeTrueVision 360 Photobooth. We started the BeTrueVision brand back in 2016 as a T-Shirt company, where the shirt designs were expressive of being true to the vision you have for yourself, hence why our logo includes a tunnel; because ultimately the brand is to create tunnel vision for yourself and your dreams so that you are free of distractions and can fulfill the vision you have for yourself. Moving along to 2021, as the world started to open up a bit, we noticed that people were getting back to celebrating events that they could not celebrate when COVID struck and we wanted to be able to make these events extra special. We can attribute our passion for helping others celebrate their big life moments to our parents because whether it was a big or small accomplishment our parents would find a way to celebrate us. Whether it was them celebrating us or them celebrating others around us they did it big. Growing up our parents knew how to host a party and provide entertainment to our guests. So we had the idea of getting a 360 photobooth as a way to add the extra flare that people would want at their events and we’ve been booked and busy since. Our parents also taught us about investing at a very early age so we knew that this would be a great investment, especially in the field that we love.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Having a 360 Photobooth business has definitely not been a smooth road. Navigating a business as young entrepreneurs, has many challenges. Especially with us both being in our careers while having our own business. Jazmen was an active duty Air Force Officer, who was stationed in Alabama when we first started our business, and Jordan had just received a job as an auditor for the Air Force Audit Agency in Abilene, Texas. We both were in a transitional period and had to figure out how to prioritize and balance all that came with this new endeavor. It has gotten better though, me and my sister are really close and we talk everyday so it makes it easy to do business with your sibling. We’ve always been super close, even with our 7 year age gap. It has also been easier since Jazmen relocated back to the San Antonio area. I also come home very often when we have a lot of bookings; we have a really good system in place. We can also attribute our success to our amazing team, Simone Robertson, Kameron Ross, and Kaeyden Ross, who have been critical in the success of our business. We are booked so much that it would be impossible for me and Jordan to service all of these events on our own so we want to thank our team for always making it happen! In this process, we had to learn a lot of things on our own, mainly because there is not a whole lot of information about this particular industry. The regular photobooths have been around long enough for there to be so much information and people to learn from; however, with the 360 Photobooth being fairly new we had to work thru a lot of challenges because our goal is to produce a high quality service that lasts a lifetime. Many people assume that the 360 photobooth is simply a camera and a machine but so much goes into it. It’s extremely long, and usually late hours when it comes to the events we have serviced. Most events happen on the weekends and last past midnight, so we sacrifice a lot of our weekends for our business. Though there is a lot of sacrifice, we have no regrets because we enjoy what we do so much. The satisfaction and pure joy and confidence that our clients exude while on the 360 photobooth make it all worth it! We pride ourselves on producing the best quality videos as well as creating the greatest experience for our clients.
We’ve been impressed with BeTrueVision 360 Photobooth, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
For those that may not be familiar with a 360 photobooth, we use a platform and a camera to capture an all-around 360-degree view of the clients. The software we use allows us to capture over one hundred and twenty frames each second creating a video that has special effects like slow-motion and reverse. We provide custom overlays and props for each event. These videos are immediately available for each client to download right onto their phones. We have done all kinds of events, to include but not limited to, weddings, baby showers, birthday parties, brunches, proms, album release parties, corporate events, etc. Our biggest event so far has been with the Botanical Gardens of San Antonio (shout out to Priscilla Ford for that opportunity) where we were contracted to perform our services monthly for a variety of their events, including their largest charity event, hosting 5000+ attendees. We are known for the high-quality 360 videos we produce and our custom overlays tailored to the needs of each client. We are also known for the high energy we bring to an event. We pride ourselves on creating an experience for our clients. Most people are very shy and timid about getting on our machine or just scared to get on what is an unknown gadget to most, especially in front of a lot of people, however, our staff encourages and creates an environment where people forget all about who is watching and get very comfortable on our machine. It usually starts off with no one wanting to be the first on the booth to no one wanting to get off. Between Jazmen and Simone dancing with our clients to Jordan, Kameron, and Kaeyden hyping you up and making sure you show off your “drip” you are sure to have the experience of a lifetime.
Any big plans?
We plan on expanding our business to include add-ons to our current 360 photobooth experience, possibly purchase another machine, and own our own event space in the San Antonio area. We definitely plan to continue to expand our brand. We are also in the process of bringing back our memorial scholarship program. The “B”in the name BeTrueVision and the tunnel of our logo, which we say is the letter “B” on it’s back, is a tribute to our mother who passed away in 2016 from Breast Cancer. We honor her not only thru our company name and logo, but we also have a scholarship fund that we created in her memory. In 2018, we created a scholarship fund and had a fundraising event, where we raised $1500.00 and awarded a graduating senior that was entering college for the 2019-2020 school year. COVID set us back a bit with that being a biennial award to a deserving senior, but check for updates because we will be starting it back up very soon.
Betruevision 360 photobooth is not your ordinary photbooth, it is an experience!
