Inspiring Conversations with Garrett Rogers of Knotty Burro LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Garrett Rogers.

Garrett Rogers

Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
It started with my dad, Greg Rogers. He has been in construction practically his entire life. He instilled a love of woodworking and construction in me from a young age. With our skillsets and the love of making other people’s construction/home dreams come true, we decided to open Knotty Burro LLC. Running a business is not for the faint of heart, but I could not imagine doing it with anyone besides my dad. We continue to get our name out there and make customers’ dreams into reality, and hopefully, with our continued effort; we will continue serving the Hill Country.

It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting a business is never easy, but we believe in letting our work speak for itself. We take a customer’s vision and make it into something beautiful. The main challenges we’ve dealt with thus far are marketing ourselves and getting our name out there.

Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At Knotty Burro, we specialize in custom carpentry and construction. We’re a Veteran / family-owned business that takes pride in our attention to detail and customer service. We can help upgrade your home’s interior with custom cabinetry and finish work or build beautiful outdoor spaces like sheds, barns, chicken coops, and pergolas. No matter what you need, we’re dedicated to providing the best quality work for our clients.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk-taking.
I believe in taking calculated risks! My biggest risk was quitting my 9-5 job and diving headfirst into Knotty Burro, but it is something I haven’t regretted for a second. You can plan and dream all of your life, but how will you ever feel fulfilled if you don’t act?
