Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Kruti Lehenbauer.
Hi Dr. Kruti, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
After spending about 20+ years in academia, including teaching at UTDallas, Northwood University, and University of the Incarnate Word, I decided to explore the world of consulting on a full-time basis a couple of years ago. I have always been passionate about math and statistics applications, which is what led to my PhD in Economics and Public Policy back in the early 2000’s. I loved teaching undergraduate and graduate students, especially students who were already professionals in their fields, and were going back to school to enhance their skills. Now, I bring my passion for precision, lean analyses, guard railed strategy that is reliant on data-based observations to my business clients via my company, Analytics TX, LLC. I am based in San Antonio because my kids absolutely LOVE their school (Basis Shavano). We all enjoy this wonderful city and what it has to offer to people from all over the world!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Consulting and solopreneurship are a struggle on a day-to-day basis, for sure. My educational path was fairly smooth. I often joke that I might have just “Forrest-Gumped” my way through college and graduate school and even my entire academic teaching career! I guess that is what happens when you truly enjoy what you do and sharing what you know with others in the community.
As a solopreneur though, the road is often paved with more uncertainty, especially if you are unwilling to bend your principles in order to “people-please.” I have learned that my best clients are often those that are open to truly allowing data and reality to drive their decision-making instead of clinging to “but we’ve always done it this way.”

Analytics TX is primarily a solopreneurship but we do work with various key partners in marketing, finance, operations, etc. to deliver the most optimal solutions for our clients, as required.
As the owner of this business, and being a “poly-math”, I personally lead/create all data analytics and related solutions using cutting edge software and code without sacrificing the simplicity that lies in Excel and calculators! I have helped banks, financial institutions, attorneys, manufacturers, and even AI-startups to connect data science principles to their desired outcomes.
With the new wave of Digital Transformation and AI adoption, one of the key services we provide to SMBs and startups is helping them get their data and related strategy to align with their goals and vision to sustain amidst heavier competition and changing market dynamics.
To sum it up: We do everything from data to webapp development to building social media presence for small to medium sized businesses!
