Today we’d like to introduce you to Daylon & Sarah Smith.
Hi Daylon & Sarah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
One thing that Daylon and I bonded over is that shared love for entrepreneurship, as a newly engaged couple we knew that we would want to start a business eventually, and anyone that knows my husband knows how impatient he is, so we decided to jump headfirst into starting a business. After consideration and some trial and error, it became obvious that we should focus on the lifestyle that we are so passionate about, and pulling from the incredible innate skills that Daylon has, so we decided to focus on land and ranch construction.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I do know that anyone who has started or run a business before would say that the road is smooth. To us it feels more like the kind of road that throws you out of your seat, gives you a couple of bumps and bruises, but you stay on it because you can find that kind of view anywhere else. I think throughout running this business it has been a lot of hard times, but some really incredible times as well. To run and own our own business, we have made a lot of sacrifices, but we stay devoted because we love helping people connect with the lifestyle that not everyone will get to experience.
As you know, we’re big fans of 2S Land and Ranch Services . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
In general, we provide land and ranch construction services, so really anything from the front gate to the back gate on a ranch we can build for you! Some of the things we specialize in are building and maintaining ranch roads, brush clearing, building arenas, fencing, among other things. My husband, Daylon, who oversees all of the projects, has the most incredible eye for detail, and an innate sense of how to transform a space, he really is what makes our company special. He ensures that every little detail from specs of dust on the ranch road, and the ground in every arena is exactly how it should be, so people get the most out of their land. As a brand what I am most proud of is that we always stand by our word, care deeply for our clients, and the high standard of work that we hold ourselves to, so our clients never have to worry about the quality of our work.
