Hi Christopher , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and after graduating from James Madison High School in 2004, I pursued my passion for the arts at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, earning an Associate of Science degree in Recording Arts in 2005.
When I returned to San Antonio, I opened a home studio to record local artists, immersing myself in the music scene. My passion for storytelling soon led me to experiment with creating music videos, which gradually expanded into more extensive photography and videography work, including weddings and other special events.
For over 10 years now, I’ve been a full-time freelance photographer and videographer, dedicated to capturing the essence of each moment through my lens. What began as a love for music and visual arts has grown into a fulfilling career, where I continue to push the boundaries of my craft and bring stories to life.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. When I returned from college in 2006, I struggled to find a job and was still trying to figure out where my true passion lay. While running my home studio and recording local artists, I worked part-time with my twin brother and dad painting houses for almost 10 years. It was a great time with my family, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was meant for something different.
About 10 years ago, I decided to take a leap of faith and focus entirely on photography and videography. It wasn’t easy at first—I struggled to find work, and some of my earliest wedding gigs were for just $100. But those experiences were invaluable in helping me build my skills and confidence. Slowly but surely, my passion turned into a full-time career, and I haven’t looked back since.

How do you define success?
To me, success is the ability to wake up each morning and do what I love. Life is short, and each day is a gift. It’s easy to get caught up in the rat race, but I’ve found that true happiness doesn’t come from financial success or accolades. Instead, it comes from achieving peace of mind. I’ve reached a point where I no longer need an alarm clock; I wake up naturally when my body is ready. Success, for me, is having a balanced circadian rhythm and a stress-free life, focusing on what truly matters.
