Today we’d like to introduce you to Brendalis Perez.
Hi Brendalis, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi, my name is Brendalis Perez. I’m an architectural Designer. I have been in this business over 26 years. I opened my own practice in 2020 -Lis Architectural Design Services. I was born in Puerto Rico went to collage to FAU and worked designing luxury custom homes in Miami Florida from 2001 to 2014. I have 4 kids-2 boys 2 girls and I’m in the process of adopting too. I love cycling kayaking fishing and dancing. I provided residential and commercial design services to all San Antonio and other areas in Texas. We try to offer affordable services to the community having in mind that we all deserve quality design to their dream homes. I love to see my clients happy that’s where we feel accomplished. I have been living in SA since 2010 and worked with different builders like M/I HOMES CalAtlantic Homes and Bella Vista Homes.
I was born in Dorado Puerto Rico in a very humble home. I’m the oldest child and the only girl I have 4 brothers.
Always enjoyed the art. My grandpa was my greatest inspiration he was a builder, and he will show me his house plans.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I married very young. I had my first child by the age of 22 and I was going to collage work and raising a child at the same time. It took me few years to complete my degree. Sometimes bringing food to the table get in the way of collage. I remember bringing my kids to class with me and asking permission to my professors. This makes me realized that it’s nothing impossible. if you wanted that bad you, I’ll do it and make it happens.
Also, there’s other obstacles been a woman in a male field. constantly you have to be proving yourself and the capacity to do the job.

Since our inception in 2020, LADS has enjoyed great success. Right in the beginning of covid. We specialized in residentials CUSTOM DESIGN. We offer affordable services to help the community. Also provide free consultation. We design homes from small cottage to 12, 000 sq ft homes. LADS have bults in San Antonio, Austin, Houston, Boerne, Horseshoe Bay and more. The client’s style is our style. Through a collaborative process, we transform the client’s vision and expectations into reality. LADS -focused design approach ensures that we understand before we create. Every project offers unique challenges. Whether the project is a renovation, interior update or a new facility, we believe the solution should reflect the distinct values of the client and the communities they serve.
