Hidden Gems: Meet Michele Pruitt of MEESH Agency

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michele Pruitt

Hi Michele, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
As a kid, I’ve always wanted to have my own business but what motivated me to put it into action was when I became a mom. I’m a mom of 2 and my youngest is on the spectrum and has epilepsy. About 9 years ago, I was in the darkest period of my life. I was ending a toxic relationship, barely making ends meet and my son was being hospitalized for his seizures. I ended up leaving my corporate job at the time because I had to focus on my sons needs. I was a single mom, no job and had to move back into my moms house. I felt like life was going backwards but that was just only the beginning of my journey of growth. I lived with my mom for at least 5 years and focused on myself and my kids. I took on freelancing and got back into modeling/acting (which was my first passion since I was 8). I was pretty much rediscovering this new me. Every year I set goals of what I wanted to achieve and I did just that. I even did bodybuilding competitions and competed as a NPC Bikini athlete. Even though life slowed down, I took risks and accomplished what I wanted. During COVID lockdown, I made it a goal to get back to work full-time since my son was able to go to school full-time. Despite the job market at the time, it granted remote opportunities that were perfect for me as a single mom of 2. Since I was out of work for so long, I knew I had to start somewhere so I took a contract job as a remote Outbound Sales Representative. I didn’t get paid much but it was a start. Once my 6 month contract ended, they wanted to hire me full-time but I wanted to work for the staffing company that provided me the job which was Indeed Flex – a startup company of Indeed. They granted me a brand new role that was remote and paid great. There were no processes in place and I had to build everything from the ground up for that team. I moved up quickly from Coordinator to Compliance Operations Team Lead. That job allowed me to move out of my moms house and I was able to provide for my children on my own. I learned a lot working with that company and everything I learned plus my past jobs, I took my skills and passion for project management and event planning and took on freelancing again. The company went through layoffs in 2023 and although luckily I was not apart of layoffs, it showed me the reality of letting a company dictate the outcome of how I live my life and if I will be able to take care of my family. Throughout the last 9 years, I grew my relationship closer to God. He is the reason why I’m still standing strong today but I did a prayer fast in January 2024 asking Him for guidance about my job, and to show me how I can fulfill my purpose that He has for me. In February 2024, my Upwork profile blew up out of nowhere. I started getting clients left to right. I ended up starting my LLC in March 2024 and my business has been doing well. I’ve just been leaning on God, having faith and listening to HIs word. My business now provides me more than my day job, I’ve been hiring contractors and I’m planning to leave my day job actually within the next 2 weeks. A lot of things have been speaking to me loudly to make this decision but I know this is the best decision I can make for myself and my family. That’s how my journey started. Dark times don’t last forever. Hard times are intended for you to learn, grow and direct you on the path that is meant for you. Things might not happen when you want them to and sometimes it can take years but if you stay focused, positive and continue persevering – everything will make sense and you will look back and say this is why this has happened. Live life with a grateful heart each day, no matter if you are not where you want to be.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to launching my business was not a smooth road at all. Everything I’ve experienced over the past 9 years was needed in order to learn, grow and get to this place I’m in now. And entrepreneurship is not easy – especially when you have a lot to juggle. Single mom of 2, one that is special needs, managing a team for my day job and handling my clients projects for my business – it can be a lot but there is 24 hours in a day. I had to learn how to better manage my time, learn how to say “no”, just overall learning how to balance everything and most importantly move in faith.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At Meesh Agency, we’re all about putting people first – both our clients and their audiences. My business started from a desire to help organizations plan events and manage projects in a way that feels less transactional and more personal. We specialize in project management and event planning, with a focus on optimizing processes and helping businesses scale while ensuring that every detail aligns with their unique vision.

What sets us apart is our commitment to building strong partnerships with our clients. I’m incredibly proud of how we don’t just manage tasks, we become an extension of our clients’ teams. Whether it’s organizing corporate events, planning product launches, or providing digital marketing project support, we offer tailored services to make sure our clients’ goals are met in the most effective and efficient way.

One of the things I’m most proud of brand-wise is our people-first approach. It’s not just a tagline, it’s something we live by in every aspect of the business. We treat our clients’ projects like our own, and that’s reflected in the quality of our work and the relationships we’ve built.

What I want your readers to know about Meesh Agency is that we’re here to support businesses through every phase of growth, whether it’s through hands-on event planning, project management support, or digital marketing assistance. We also offer consulting services, administrative support, and even educational resources for teams. Our goal is to empower businesses to focus on their big picture while we handle the details.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
That I have so much to juggle! People always tell me how calm I am, I’ve had my day job tell me numerous times of how I handle fires at work in such a calm organized manner. Trust me, I stress but I’ve also learned over the years I can’t do everything all on my own. When I do need help, I rely first on God and my family (more specifically my mother – she is my rock). I don’t ask for help a lot but when I do ask – trust me, I need it.
