Hidden Gems: Meet Levi Rodgers of The Levi Rodgers Real Estate Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Levi Rodgers.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
In many ways, I feel as though I have led two very distinct lives. First, a successful Military career and now I lead one of the most successful real estate companies in the country. In 1996, I enlisted into the Army as a combat engineer. I was honored to meet my goal of becoming a Special Forces Green Beret and was deployed all over the world. On my last deployment in Afghanistan in 2009, I was attacked by an improvised explosive device (IED). This IED catastrophically destroyed the vehicle in which I and four teammates were utilizing. Everyone in the vehicle were killed, except me. I was severely wounded by the attack. I experienced third-degree burns and many broken bones and was brought to San Antonio, TX for an extensive recovery. My life had completely changed, and just like that, the Military as I knew it was no longer an option. I found myself in need of a new career and livelihood. Thanks to 30 seconds of honesty from a realtor, I was inspired to transition into real estate.

Since retiring from the U.S. Army, I have focused my passion for serving others into my new profession. After a successful start with RE/MAX in 2012, my company spun off to create The Levi Rodgers Real Estate Group (LRG) in 2020. The members of my team share my core values- that honesty is of the utmost importance, that the customer always comes first, that excellence is key, and that we can always improve. LRG is built on three brand pillars: Service, Guidance and Expertise.

Recently, I was named Director of Keller Williams’ KW Military. Since beginning my real estate career, I have been committed to showing Veterans and Military families that they can live their best life after service using real estate as a tool. This opportunity allows me to continue my mission of supporting Veterans and Military families. Launched in November, KW Military provides agents with tailor-made training, coaching, events and referral opportunities that help them juggle a dual career or better utilize their past military experience to build a more robust business. KW’s global presence will allow me to reach a greater number of people, faster. Their support will help many Military and Veteran families to achieve their best life.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Oh gosh, I can’t say that the road has been smooth, but I can say that it has been a rewarding journey, each step of the way. I am very vocal about my struggles when I left the Military. It was a struggle to figure out what to do next, and to accept that my days in the Military as I knew them were over. It is for this reason that I am so passionate about helping others currently going through this transition.

In general, I have faced many bumps in the road, and feel that I am stronger for them. I am so grateful for where I am, and know that I could not be here, had I not experienced all that I did.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Push button, initiate notification, receive response, buy a home.

With the technology boom of the past few years, it has become increasingly easy to do more with one click of a button than past generations ever would have dreamt possible. Someone could take a break from skiing on a mountain in a remote part of the world, and buy a house with a few clicks. I think this capability will only grow as time goes on. Owning a piece of America is now a global reality.

The real estate industry will continue to become a more automated experience, with various technologies infused into the process. Though I forecast technology playing an increasingly important role in the real estate business, I am confident that the industry will always value good old fashioned human connection.

Robots cannot replace a person with years of experience who listens and understands an individual/family’s needs. Robots add value to the human professionals, and improve the experience of the client, but the human factor will never be eliminated in this line of work.

I think in general, real estate is a thriving profession that will get more convenient for our clients, and will always keep myself and fellow real estate professionals on our toes, and looking for ways that we can add even more value to our client’s experience.
