Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Herminia’s Cleaning Service LLC is a way of me paying homage to my grandmother Herminia “Nani” Witherspoon, who’s alive and still as wonderful as ever. This company is my way of honoring her for long after she’s passed. When people mention “Herminia’s Cleaning Service LLC” they won’t only think about top notch quality service, but also, the matriarch of the Witherspoon family. With hard work and dedication from the Herminia’s cleaning staff we have been able to accelerate our clientele base rapidly in the 15 months we’ve been in business, and complete over 1,800 residential cleaning jobs as well as obtaining several commercial cleaning contracts.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a business is never easy and that’s why I appreciate entrepreneurs so much, they’re definitely cut from a different cloth. Coming from an entrepreneurial family, I had a head start learning from my mom Norma Witherspoon, my uncle Nick Witherspoon, and my brother Matt Witherspoon who are important pieces to my entrepreneurial growth. It’s great to be able to pick up the phone and talk to people who’ve experienced the hardships of starting and running a business.

Herminia’s Cleaning Services LLC is a top quality residential, commercial, and carpet cleaning provider. Herminia’s focuses on general, deep, and show-ready cleanings for realtors and property managers. We also have great commercial cleaning relationships with banks, vision centers, and dental labs. Herminia’s primary focus is carrying out my grandmother’s name and with that our goal is to ensure her name is synonymous to top tier customer service, great work, and longevity in this industry. Paying respect to my grandmother is what most makes me proud of our company and our brand. Herminia’s Cleaning Services LLC is also a pillar of our community by donating cleanings to underprivileged, elderly and people with circumstances such as cancer. Helping the community, our clients, and our cleaning specialist is what makes Herminia’s unique.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is to be transparent, honest, and to face challenges full heartedly. Mistakes will be made, you will fail, but it’s how you overcome them is what matters. I learned to not beat yourself up about the small things in life. I’m blessed to be alive and to work along side my daughter and spend time with her, we don’t get these days back so i’m just trying to enjoy the moment and our growth.
