Baldemar, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my online business with helping people get in shape 4 years ago & have always loved connecting with people! In the summer of 2020 we knew we needed to bring more healthy alternatives to San Antonio more than ever during the pandemic with health & nutrition being on the forefront!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
One of the struggles at the beginning was spreading the word about us due to less community events! What helped us a lot was Instagram & all the tools it offers to expose us!

We opened Alamo Heights Nutrition in October 2020 with a vision to create a space people can stop in, feel welcomed, enjoy a positive experience, & grab a protein shake that tasted like their favorite dessert without all the sugar! Not only do we provide protein shakes but clean energy drinks, iced protein coffee, mini protein donuts, & more! We never feared opening during the pandemic because of the strong vision & faith we had to serve the community! We love to connect & build relationships with our customers! This space is known as a home away from home!
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My biggest advice for anyone starting out is JUST START! What can hold us back in starting out is just starting. Get clear on why you are doing this & keep your eyes focused on what you are creating. Things won’t always look perfect & you’re going to learn a lot during your journey but it will all be worth it when you look back!
