Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started this business in the pandemic when my job closed. We went through some hardship, but in that time came the self reflection and the desire to do something I want for a change. No one in my area did the type of work I was looking for so I decided to start my own business. I started in San Antonio because that’s where I could get work. My business and confidence grew and now I serve a much larger region, including but not limited to, Corpus, Victoria, San Antonio, and Houston. This has been my dream job and my passion. I’ve been in business for 4 years now!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I struggled getting started. I didn’t know how to run/start a business, I wasn’t completely sure how to do the type of work professionally, I didn’t have a client base, and I was from a very small town where everything was shut down due to the pandemic. I didn’t qualify for a loan so everything I made at my day job, I put back into the business and grew it as I was able.
As you know, we’re big fans of Shooting Star Event Planning. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am the owner and sole proprietor of my event planning business. I started with kids parties and quickly grew to weddings and other large events. I customize every event to fit my clients needs and always try to do something a little special to set each event apart and make it their own. I plan, coordinate, and decorate.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I work diligently to satisfy all of my clients and create unforgettable, beautiful, and lasting memories for them.
