Hi Alena, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was first introduced to the power of therapeutic massage when my own family needed it—my mother was injured, and massage therapy was one of the only treatments that brought her real relief. Later, I struggled with sciatica, a herniated disc, and pain from a car accident, and those experiences helped me truly understand what my clients feel. That personal connection to healing is what led me to pursue advanced training in medical massage and lymphatic therapy. Today, I specialize in post-operative lymphatic care and pain relief because I’ve lived through similar challenges, and I know how life-changing skilled, compassionate care can be.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road — but every struggle has made me stronger. I built my business from the ground up with zero clients, no investors, no partners, and no safety net. In the beginning, I had to learn everything: how to market myself, how to navigate inconsistent income, and how to balance the clinical side of massage with the realities of running a business.
At the same time, I was learning how to balance being a “do-it-all” business owner, a mom, and a support system for my family. Those experiences taught me resilience, patience, and empathy. There were definitely moments of burnout and self-doubt, but every effort I put in eventually connected me with the right clients—people who truly appreciate my work and trust me with their healing. Seeing them get better and feel better has been one of my greatest rewards and motivations.
It reminds me why I keep overcoming obstacles, improving my skills, and staying committed to providing the highest level of care. At Synergy Massage, our clients are never treated like numbers—they are valued individuals we genuinely care for from the bottom of our hearts.

Synergy Massage is a medical and lymphatic massage practice dedicated to helping people relieve pain, recover from surgery, and reclaim their quality of life. We specialize in post-operative lymphatic drainage, wellness lymphatic therapy, and advanced medical massage for clients dealing with injuries, chronic pain, or complex medical conditions.

Looking ahead, I am excited to expand Synergy Massage into an even more specialized resource for the community — especially in the area of lymphedema care. Lymphedema is something many people struggle with, yet it remains an underserved area with very limited providers. Patients often experience long wait times or difficulty accessing consistent, knowledgeable care.
One of my future goals is to bring dedicated lymphedema management and treatment services into our practice so clients can receive timely, skilled, and compassionate support. We want to be part of the solution for individuals who need ongoing lymphatic care but have few options available.
I’m also looking forward to continuing advanced training, expanding our clinical offerings, and building a practice that serves not only post-operative clients, but also those living with chronic swelling, lymphatic disorders, and long-term recovery needs.
Our vision is to grow in a way that truly makes a difference — offering high-quality, accessible care for a community that deserves more resources and support.
